I selected Baltics because I think it would be fascinating to see that part of the world.

Mine is the Med because I am so interested in going to Athens and Rome and Pompeii and seeing all of the history that is there!

Luckily I am going this summer!

I also selected the Med. My second choice would be Tahiti. Dreams, aren't they lovely?

A big thumbs up to anybody that said Baltics, Tahiti or Mediterranean...been there, done that...loved it! If you go on those cruises you'll have the most eye opening experience you can imagine.

I put 'other' because the more I cruise the more I want to do something really out of the ordinary. I would love to cruise either New Zealand, Australia and the Marquesas...or maybe a Nile Cruise...or maybe South America all the way down the coast and see Machu Picchu and Argentina, Chile and Tierra Del Fuego. Hmmm...do I have to choose just one??

I picked Tahiti but I'm more likely to do the Medit. before Tahiti mostly due to the travel time.

The thing that holds me back from any Europe cruise is that

    1. We like to travel to warm climates in the winter and don't often get to vacation twice a year.
    2. I need to rest & relax on vacation and while I think Europe would be fab I also feel like some are so port intensive that I'd be exhausted when I got home.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the plan of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body totally worn out, screaming "WOOHOO what a ride!"

Its always interesting to me that most people who live in very cold weathered states love traveling south to warm climates during the winter.

I guess living in California, I don't really understand that phenomenon.

You got that right. Europe is not a relaxing cruise. It's an exciting and thrilling vacation of a lifetime....but by no means of the imagination are you going to get a lot of rest or relaxation on a European cruise. How could you stay on the ship when Pompeii or the Coliseum are at the next port?

But I like it that way. I figure I'll do as much of this kind of thing as I can while I still have knees and hips that work.
