What about you?

Since my parents don't really do excursions, we usually get off for a couple hours then come back on. Last year was the exception though because one of the families we traveled with loved the outdoors so I tagged along with them.

We get off for a short time, but we really cruise for the ship!!!![]()
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
I do excursions everywhere. So off and on for me!
Depends...........if it is a new port of call for us or one of our favorites.........we get off and explore something new.........if it is a repeat...........usually off and on and back to the ship.
I am a big fan of the excursions, so I am glad to get off the ship and shop, roam, and do our planned excursions activity.
It's both for us.. If it's a new place we arrange a tour and go around to the points of interest, and do some shopping. The others, depend on whether we like the place, or not. Most places have a nice spot to SCUBA which we enjoy, or a least we can snorkel almost anywhere.. We didn't get off in Cozumel last time, stayed on board and enjoyed an almost empty ship for the day, rather relaxing..
We usually only get off for a short time if at all. It is different if we stop at a port we have not been to before. It has been a while since we have been to a new port. I think the last one was Costa Maya a few years ago. (we have been there 3 times now)

Since my DH prefers cruises with lots of days at sea, I get off at EVERY port, even if it is only to shop.If we went back to a port that I didn't care for, I'd probably stay on. But right now, we are not planning any cruises that repeat where we have been.
We rarely get off in Nassau any more... a 'been there, done that' situation. Sometimes I get off to swim with the rays. Most times not.
Besides, we like having the ship nearly to ourselves that morning. When we did the Hurricane cruise, we had to skip our scheduled Nassau day as well as our CocoCay day, and only ported in Nassau on our 'Extra' day out. (The day we were supposed to return home.)
You should have seen the rush for the gangways! You would have thought those people had been imprisoned for years, and were now rushing across into the promised land! We stayed onboard, and the most wonderful thing happened... I had the entire pool completely to myself for a solid two hours!
