    Smile It could be better

I sailed the Enchantment of the Seas, last week. This is a repeat for sailing that ship. Our last cruise on that ship was kind of a historical cruise. It was the last 7 day cruise the Enchantment has had in 3 years. A number of the crew personnel that was on the ship, 3 years ago were still with them.
Service on all RCI ships is great - But the Enchantment tops them all. We had the most preferred table for dinner (Round table by the window) for dinner, and the Windjammer 's service was like I've never seen. Our friend is training the personnel. I hope he stays with RCI. His contract expires in two months, and I know he misses his family, when he is away, on the ship.
So my answer would have to be -
"Repeating on a ship sometimes can be better than the first time."
"Same thing for repeating a destination."

I like to try a new itinerary each time. Our upcoming cruise will take us to two ports we visited previously, but there are three ports I have not been to. Maybe sometime in the future I may opt to repeat a particular itinerary.

My answer would have to be BOTH! I have been on 7 cruises and have repeated some ports, but always had something new on each trip.

This time I am doing an Eastern Panama Canal and while I visited the ports in Mexico before, there is definitely more to see in each one. Once we leave Mexico, everything else is new - Costa Rica, Canal, Aruba & Curacao.

Plus I am traveling with great family & friends that have not seen most of this itinerary. It will be like seeing it for the 1st time all over again !!!

Because we live about 50 miles from San Pedro, most of our cruises have been out of there. Which means many Baja cruises and a couple of Mexican Riviera cruises. Whenever we go to Ensenada, it's "been there, done that", with a quick trip off the ship to the little marketplace on the pier so hubby can pick up a trinket for his mother. I just don't care for Ensenada with the street vendors pushing items in your face.

Been to the Caribbean twice (eastern and western) so maybe one day we'll do a Southern. I'm your basic white knuckle flyer so my hubby is hesitant to subject me to getting aboard another plane (as well as his hating to wait in long lines). The last time we sailed out of a non-LA port, we took the train up to Seattle for an Alaskan cruise.

As for Europe, my hubby has travelled there with his family as a kid so he's not anxious to return. And he says he has no interest in going to Asia.

We love doing the same over and over and creating whole new experiences. That way I never have to worry about missing something--we'll be back!!

Cruising to me is a boat ride! I want sun, water, fun!! Sands of the island beaches, palm trees!! Absolutely love the Caribbean!! Can't imagine cruising where there were not Catamarans and beaches!!

I am excited that Princess is adding a new ship and new ports with the Emerald!! Southern Caribbean, here we come again!!

Seems Heaven's a little closer in our home on the sea!

Myself and my husband have a tradition of doing this South America & Panama Canal itinerary with Celebrity: Celebrity Cruises UK & Ireland: Destinations: South America: South America and Panama Canal every year on the same date without fail... but that's because that was our honeymoon cruise The special memories just keep building up with every year that passes!

If Cost and transportation was not an issue, I would try new iteneraries each time. BUT since thats not the case, I make the best out of being able to get on the ship and sailing..... I am addicted already. Have been to Western Caribbean 2 times already. 1 time with kids, 1 time with just hubby, We have a third planned this year. with the kids. It will be a repeat of last years cruise, that hubby and I went on, It will be a totaly NEW and Different cruise, cause the kids are going, and our excursions will reflect things they will enjoy too.

I just want to be cruisin' maybe when kids are in college, I will get to travel the world......
