Thread: Was there ever a port you really disliked?

Did you ever stop at a port and dislike the place so much you thought "I will NEVER come back here again"?

No port I can think of off the top of my head..........some I disliked more than others........Jamacia comes to mind.........but I would still go there and not pick a cruise just because Jamacia was on the itinerary.

MOBAY comes to mind!

Oh really? Tell me why...I have never been but I have friends that want to go!

If you rent a car/scooter like we do and tour the back side of the island it isn't too bad.. Some of the beaches are ok, I hear also.. But, if you decide to go shopping, be prepared to get molested by the street-talkers, trying to haul you into each and every store on the strip.... Also, there's not any bargains there either.. In Cozumel, you get what you pay for...

So is it mostly the shopping you didn't like? What about snorkling or other activities? How about restaurants? If we go I don't think I would shop much...I have been to Mexico (just not Cozumel) and don't need anything from there! I just want to swim, snorkle, maybe go sailing or deep sea fishing, maybe parasail or something. Did you do any of that and if so, what did you think?

Loreto, Mexico. It is the dirtiest, nastiest, dishonest place we've ever seen. We actually overheard a parent teaching their child to steal from the tourists. If our ship stops there we'll be staying on the ship.
