Coco Cay or Labadee....Your Thoughts?

Have been to Labadee and had a terrific time. This fall will visit Coco Cay.

Would love to hear folks thoughts on the two ports, as they are both "Royal Caribbean's own private destinations".

Similiar? Are there "can't miss" sights or activities? Would love any feedback out there.

I have never been to Labadee but was at Coco Cay last year.

We enjoyed the day at the beach and BBQ.
We walked around part of the island and there seemed to be lots to do.
I did post some pictures of the island in the Gallery.

Coco Cay is a nice beach day. They have a small straw market with T-shirts and the usual trinkets. A free BBQ offers plenty to eat. DO NOT miss the island specialty drink the Coco Loco. mmmmmm

There is a map and pics somewhere I'll see if I can find them

I love Coco Cay. I was just there a few weeks ago. <sigh> It is such a beautiful place. We did some really great snorkeling. Just off to the left of the beach are some rocks with coral and lots of fish. I saw a stingray in there as well. They have a sunken airplane near the lifeguard's chair with lots of fish there too. Also,

I would highly recommend talking a nice walk to the right of the tender (facing the beach) and head down Wanderer's Beach. It is a beautiful stretch of shallow water beach that is very quiet. Lots of hammocks and beach chairs..empty ones! It's breathtaking!

How long did it take you to walk to that ideal beach? Where do they hold the BBQ? Are drinks included?

Here's a link to a thread about CocoCay. Post # 6 is a photo essay about the island.

Hi Marcia,

It's a short walk, 5 minutes at most, to get to the beginning of Wanderer's beach. You can walk quite a way down the beach once you get there, but you don't have to walk far to find quiet places with beautiful scenery. The BBQ is in the middle of the main part of the island. It's all within walking distance. There are drinks (alcoholic) available at a few Tiki Hut bars, but not included. You can use your SeaPass. There are the usual iced tea, fruit punch available at lunch for no extra charge.
