    Red face 7 - 14 - 21+ Days ... No Big Difference in Packing

Finding that packing for 7 day cruise isn't much different than packing for 21 days!

Gosh, there are some "space hogging" things that MUST go no matter the lenght of the cruise!

    What am I doing wrong!

    I don't know, LuLu!

I pack the same for a 21 day cruise as I do for a 7 day cruise, but I must pack the other way around!

We take 2 checked bags and 2 carry ons total for the both of us, no matter how long we cruise. Actually, for a 7 dayer we can get away with 1 less bag!

I don't take outfits for every night---I recycle my clothes. If we have 3 formal nights I take 1 formal skirt or pants with 2 tops....again recycling.

We use the laundry for Bob's underwear, sox and Dockers on the longer cruises.

What space hogging things must you take?

Char .... Thanks! Glad it's not just me! Guess, there's no real way around taking certain things on almost any cruise!

I don't think I could do anything different either LuLu. I only do 7 days but I could get by for 14 or 21 with the same. If you need it, you need it and thats it
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

We just got back from a month in Europe - two weeks were spent on a cruise. We did not pack any more than we usually do for a 7-night cruise, except I did not take a suit; I only took some shirts and ties, but I was in the majority, so it was fine. We used the laundry for underwear; we were on RCCL and they charged $25 for a small plastic bag full of stuff. Really expensive and a complete rip off, but they hold the cards, so you have to play the hand, so it's not like we had a choice. I do take some of the new hi-tech underwear that you can wash out in the sink and dries in about 15 minutes, but we still had to take care of the cotton stuff.

As far as packing the regular stuff, to us there's no difference in what we pack; just have to clean the items we do take.
