Red face "One Trick Pony" Shoes ....

How many of us are guilty of taking shoes on a cruise that we only intend to wear once?

Of course I'm guilty. What's a woman to do? Wear silver heels with a gold dress? I don't think so.

Not me!

Over the years I have learned to minimize my shoes to 5 or 6 pair at most, and that includes water shoes.

As long as there are formal nights, there will be shoes you only wear once - because they were bought to go with a specific dress.

Ah, but some of us buy shoes that will go with more than one dress! I have my black ones that go with all my black formal or dressy outfits and I have a pair of neutral organza sandals that go with my other formal outfits. And I only take one color for each cruise.

I believe my DW is guilty. One of our carry ons was filled only with 8 pairs of her shoes. They would have fit in her suit case, but it made it over weight

I have gone the other direction. I would bring only on pair of shoes for the entire cruise but she won't let me. On our last cruise I only wore 2 pairs the entire week. Now if I can just get her to let me where crocks with my tux, I could be down to one pair.

I take flip flops as a backup and never wear them. I can't stand the thing between my toes.

They're lightweight so I keep thinking it's better to have them and not need them; than to need them and not have them
