In December the weather could be mild, or not, one day out of Baltimore. Don't expect warm weather till you get to about mid Florida and tropical weather once you reach the southern tip of Florida.

You would not look stupid in capris, but you might need a sweater during the day when on deck.....maybe even a windbreaker. Inside, the temp is always comfortable.

I would pack one or 2 long sleeved cotton shirts and the rest short sleeves. Take a sweater and a light (unlined) windbreaker to layer over your long sleeves and sweater, if necessary.

Thanks so much! That sounds like the right thing to do. Yes, Baltimore is so unpredictable.

While we were living in Minnesota I took a six month temporary assignment in Orlando. The way I handled it was to have on my heavy coat, sweater and gloves and a midweight pair of pants when I left Minnesota. As soon as I got on the plane, the gloves and scarf went with the coat into the overhead bins. When I got off the plane, I got my suitcases and immediately stuffed the coat and stuff into it. Way to warm in Florida to even think about lugging the cold weather gear. The reverse applied for the trips back home. No, it was way too cold to leave the coat in the car or to rough it from the terminal to the parking area.
