Website Suggestions - Cocktail / Evening Dresses

Hello,

For the ladies.

Can you help me out on evening wear? I am booked on Explorer of the Seas RC in February 2010 and this is my first cruise.

The last thing me & my partner want is to take the COMPLETELY wrong type of clothes, especially for the evening.

Do you have a favourite wbsite / shop for this type of clothes wear?

Thanks

Carly x

Website Suggestions - Cocktail / Evening Dresses by the cruisline is a suggestion. for formal night. Not all women wear these and men do not need tuxes. What is actually worn on these nights can be the above, also a dressy dress, dressy pants and a dressy top is also acceptable. Men can wear a suit and tie as well as dressy pants and a blazer and tie.

My Signature Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Haven't been on any RC ships, but it seems that there was a wide range of "formal wear" on the cruises I've been on. Especially for women. Some women get all sparkley. Some wear long gowns. Some wear cocktail dresses. Some wear pant suits that are dressy. Just think if you're going to a wedding, what would you wear?

For non-formal nights, it really depends on your cruiseline. Some will allow jeans in the dining rooms for dinner, some don't. I like sundresses and skirt outfits (like gauzy skirts). Maybe think church/temple wear or going to a really nice restaurant.

There are many here who would know about that ship and will give suggestions. Also think what itinerary too. That might affect the level of casualness or formality.

Carly, for formal nights if you want to do it "up", try Macy's. Think of it as going to the prom but in an "older" type of dress. And for the man, a nice suit will do fine. Mine always brings 1 suit and 2/3 different shirts and ties.

I don't think they have Macy's in the UK, but I'm sure she get's the idea.
