While you do all the driving, I'll look on the box for the weight...

the easiest way when considering what to take is to get some outfits together for the day and evening and place them on your bed. Think about colour do not have too many. Linen trousers are great and look sophisticated for day and evening. Couple of evening dressess. A cashmere scarf is a great idea as you can where when its chilly and over the shoulder in the evenings as an accessory. Do not take too many shoes you will not wear all of them choose a beige pair with a kitten heel whicvh you can wear with shorts and an evening dress. If I was helpful get back to me.

I love your suggestion, but let me explain how I pack.

Night before, open suit case on bed - run around tossing stuff in it, close bag.

Grab garment bag, open it. toss whatever dress (or two) the G/F said she wants to take, then toss on top my suit. I then grab a few button up shirts and toss them on top. I then zipper bag, hop on bed look over at my G/F and laugh at how she has nothing yet in her suit case...

I hope you accidentally forgot the adjective "clean" to describe which clothes you tossed in the suitcase.

Can you imagine the poor TSA agents who have to open a suitcase full of really dirty clothes?

I would hate my job that day.

I saw one episode of that show about the airport, and the troubles these ticket agents go through, name is drawing a blank, I can get it if you like.. Anyway, one guy was really dirty, nasty and smelled.

They would not let him board the plane, they gave me a change of cloths, some soap and he needed to wash up in the restroom. Sad.
