I am just beginning to research this subject. I will report my findings on my trip report thread but will post some the tips on this thread.

I began my research on Leisure and Business Travel Packing List - Travel Light with One Bag! and have found it very helpful so far. I have found very detailed information, including packing lists, info on synthetics, and even how to fold your cloths.

One of the tips I like is to wash the cloths you will wear on your cruise then dry them out as much as possible by hand and hang them overnight. If they are not dry the following day you may not want to take them on the cruise.

Good idea, Lee......give the clothes a test run, so to speak, on their wash and dry-ability.

You can also use the hair dryer to finish drying those seams or other thicker parts of your clothes if they are not completely dry the next day.

But then, he would have to add a crate of sunscreen to his luggage. Also, he would have to start a strict exercise routine months before his cruise.

No I wouldn't, I would not have to look at myself. Hmm, unless of course I went to the gym and had to look at all those mirrors. Another reason to not go to the gym.

Oh the Gym bad bad very bad

****

I do have lightweight luggage but I dont really care to much if I am over the weight restrictions the airlines enforces. I usually bring with me what I want and "need"when I am going on a cruise.
Yes, I do send out most of the clothes to be pressed once onboard and I also send stuff to be dry cleaned during the cruise.

None. Too scared. Last time I was on the beach some Green Peacers surrounded me picked me up and threw me into the water shouting "We saved Shamu again". Don't want to risk it on a cruise ship.
