Do You Go Tanning or What?

I used to go tanning but I don't anymore. Right now I'm using Jergens Natural Glow lotion. It's got a coloring agent in it but it works slowly so you don't get that orange look. I've never had the spray on done. Has anyone and how good does it look?

I've done the airbrush tanning...it you have someone who knows what they're doing, it looks really good! My salon that does it also sells an aftercare lotion that has a bronzing agent in it to keep the "tan" longer. It lasts up to 2 weeks if you use the lotion.

I go to a tanning salon just a few times before going anyplace tropical. If I get a little bit of a tan before I hit the sun I never burn...but if I were to go to a tropical locale with no color beforehand I am afraid I'd ruin the trip by burning.

I've never gone and got a tan or used a tanning bed. I use the Jergens also.

I go to a tanning salon a couple of months before I cruise. I will get wicked burn if I don't. I'm hoping to go tanning this morning - have a "do" to go to tonight and I want to look great!

I have started using the Jergens just a few weeks ago. I too like it because it is so gradual. I saw a TV commercial for Dove that works the same way. Just remember to wear sunscreen when you finally do get into the sun

I've used natural glow but don't care for smell

The only down side to natural glow is the smell.

I usually don't allow myself any sun at all. I always wear atleast short sleeve and a hat, but last year I did wear a sports bra and a tank top to cheerleading practice one time, and ended up with horrible tan lines.

It was the beginning of November here, and though it was cool, it was still very sunny. So for a bout a week I laid out for on 15 minutes a day (Heard that 15 minutes of sun is safe and healthy on the news) It didn't get a tan, but I wore a strapless suit and was able to get rid of my tan lines.

I will definetely be more careful about the tank top and sports bra this fall so I don't get a funky tan again.

I'm at altitute in Arizona where the sun is very intense, so we all have to be very careful not to get too much sun, esepecially those of us who are fare skinned.

When I go to the pool or the beach this is the kind of suit I wear. They are from Australia, and made of lightweight tighly woven material that dries quickly and has an spf of 50.

Living in Myrtle Beach I go down to our pool complex almost every afternoon but I always sit in the shade. Most of my friends have deep tans already, me I am pasty in comparison But the only tan I want is on my legs and I can get that out of the bottle. I am hearing about so much skin cancer lately. Please if you love to lie out in the sun protect yourselves with a good sun screen cream.
    Cheers,

Before the Caribbean cruises I go to the "electric beach" a few times, keeps me from burning on the cruise. Coming from MN winters I have no base at all at that time of year. When I am by the pool or ocean I do use sun protection but don't use it when I'm out and about.
I am one of those from the 50's and 60's who used baby oil and iodine and baked in the sun for hours! No skin cancer warnings back then.
