HI and welcome to CLF!!

I dont know the anwers to all your questions but I belive a contract is around 6 months.

You should contact HAL at this address:

  • Mailing Address
    300 Elliott Ave. W.
    Seattle, WA 98119
    Attn: Human Resources
  • Phone: 206-281-3535
  • Fax: 206-298-3899
  • Jobline: 206-286-3496

I also found this at the HAL web site:

Due to labor agreements between the ship-owning companies and unions in Holland, Indonesia and the Philippines, most of our crew positions (including the majority of service staff personnel) are limited to members of these unions.
Please note: Holland America Line employs shipboard staff through its offices in Seattle, Washington (USA), The Netherlands and the firms listed on this site. Any other firm using Holland America Line images and/or claiming a relationship to the company for purposes of offering employment is not authorized to do so by Holland America Line. Holland America Line accepts no responsibility for promises made by such unauthorized firms.
