I only worked for the five star cruise lines and we were treated very well. From what I hear it is better to work for the high end lines than the mass market cruise lines.
As I did`t work for all the cruise lines I cant answer your question.

What I can say is not to use the employment sites that requires you to pay to use their services.
Any potential crew member can easily apply to a job for free via the cruise lines own sites and their recommended agencies.
