We love cruising, and if we are on an NCL ship we know what to expect, same as our last cruise on Cunard. We go to enjoy ourselves, not to pick faults with other lines. We pay our money for the cruise and hopefully enjoy it. If I have to put on a bow tie for dinner its no problem, neither does not having to wear a tie.

Course differences occur, and if you are bias about a cruise line, you will never enjoy it.

Norman, it is like me and most sporting events. I really do not like them (although if I do go I will enjoy the experience) but there has to be a reason for me to go other than the event itself (when my son takes me to a hockey game, for example).

That is how I feel about NCL. Nothing against them other than it is not my style. Give me a free cruise and I will go, will enjoy it, and will have 1000's of pictures of it.

We were on NCL last year and got exactly what we expected, except the service was better than we anticipated, which was a very nice surprise. But because everything else was what we expected based on our past cruises with NCL, we were not disappointed and had a great time. Had we gone on there expecting more, we would have been very disappointed and not had a good time. So it's always good to be prepared ahead of time. And I'm not being biased, just being realistic based on our personal experiences with NCL. Will we travel NCL again? Sure, but if we're going for pleasure, I prefer others.

Patty; I hear what you're saying about doing anytime dining and being seated with people who have already ordered. They're not suppose to do that - they are suppose to wait until everyone is seated before placing orders. The one time they tried to sit us with others who had ordered, we requested to be seated elsewhere and they accommodated us. You should never have to be put in that situation and should never feel hurried when eating.
