Can someone compare Celebrity vs. Royal?

Can someone who has been on both lines, compare the similarities and the differences between Celebrity and Royal for me?

I am 25 years old. Not a party animal, but that doesnt mean I dont enjoy nightly entertainment, listening to music, etc. I want to be entertained during the day while on the ship. I want good food and good service.

I've been on Royal twice and I loved it. It seemed just my style.

    Would I like Celebrity?

Not that I've been on Celebrity, but isn't it the upgrade of RCI??

(sort of like the Acura is the upgrade to Honda, and Lexus is the upgrade of Toyota...both lower lines are wonderful, but the Acura/Lexus is more luxurious)...

    Just taking a guess...

I have been on Celebrity, but not RCL. I found Celebrity to be very classy, an older crowd, and basically a very good line. If your looking for late night parties, I don't think Celebrity would do....more sophisticated IMHO. I will let your know complete comparison on Dec 6
I used to be number 1 in frubals.....now I'm nothing

I don't think there are enough young people on Celebrity for them. I didn't notice very many anyway, but remember, I had a $600 bar bill for 3 days

Celebrity is definitely an upgrade, but it doesn't have the flash of the impressive ships and the myriad of "active" activities.

I've sailed them both twice and didn't find Celebrity to be an upgrade at all. In fact, I've sailed HAL, Norwegian, Princess, Radisson, Seabourn, RCI and Celebrity, and Celebrity is on the bottom of my list. Alisa, I think RC is an excellent fit for you and you may be disappointed in Celebrity. Just my two cents and feel free to e-mail me if you want more details.
