Debbie you are bumping a lot of posts. Is it possible to bump some of them back down?

I am in the reverse position--have sailed 4 times with Celebrity (most recently around Cape Horn on Infinity) and just booked for the first time with RCI.
I'm a little surprised by the negativity of other comments
about Celebrity--Food,service,comfort, quality control generallyl-- have been superb.

While the food on our last Celebrity cruise was extremely good, it was not quite up with the Century a few years earlier.

Still, I like Celebrity over all the other lines I have tried - except for maybe high tea on HAL)

Sailed both Celebrity and Royal Caribbean (both with and without our kids) and would sail them both again in a minute.

If sailing with kids or teens, I would usually recommend Royal Caribbean to my clients because of the zillions of activities and features the newer ships offer (surfing, ice skating, etc).

Celebrity is a notch higher in food and service. The ships don't have the bells and whistles that the RCCL ships do but their ships are beautiful and elegant and have different amenities- like their aqua spa and accupuncture at sea.

Really depends on what you are looking for. If you want a little more excitement go with Royal. If you want a little quieter and sophisticated, go with Celebirty.

We are planning on going on the Celebrity Summit to Bermuda in the summer of 2010. It will definitely be the best ship going to Bermuda from the NY/NJ region (IMO). If I had the opportunity to jump on the Explorer of the Seas again for a good price, I would do it in a minute too.

I should add that Celebrity and RCL used the same designs for the Radiance class ships of RCL and the Millennium class ships of Celebrity.
