Do you like big ships or small ships

Hubby and I like the bigger ships, were we can blend in and just kick back and have fun. My mother in law loves the smaller ships, she is very much a Grande Dame and loves Crystal and Radisson for the smaller ships, level of service and seeing the same people over and over again.

Grand Princess is as big as we've been on, and we found it didn't feel like a big ship, in that it is very well designed with lots of open, public spaces. We never felt crowded. I've never been on anything smaller than the Norwegian Sky (now Pride of Aloha) and the next cruise on the Sun Princess is about the same size. Thinking of Tahitian Princess for 2007, so we may get a small ship experience then.

We love the big ships. I have a tendency to "get a little seasick" on the smaller ships. Rarely feel any motion on the larger ones.

I guess you have to define Big vs. Small.............definetly don't care for the mega ships like the Caribbean Princess but love the Radiance Class ships on RC althought they are large...........just laid out very nicely. I guess we would tend to enjoy medium to smaller ships much better.

I much prefer the ships less than 75000 tonnes. Taken a short cruise on NCL Jewel at 93000 and although a beautiful ship, she was a bit too big for my liking. NCL Crown which I am spending Christmas/New Year this year is 35000 and NCL Dream that I am doing an extended Transatlantic is 50000, plenty big enough for me

We prefer smaller ships. The largest ship we have sailed on is the Oosterdam, a Vista class. We had previously sailed only on HAL's S-class and R-class ships and liked those very much. The Oosterdam was just too big for our liking, even though it is far from a mega-ship.

Then, this summer we sailed on the Prinsendam, with less than 800 passenger capacity, HAL's smallest ship, and we really, really liked her, much more than any other HAL ship: intimate without being crowded & very easy to get around. We still like the S- & R-class ships and they are about as large a ship as we would want to sail on.

I like big small ships! Or is that small big ships? Small big ships I think M Class on Celebrity or smaller. Wouldn't mind trying a huge ship, but I think I would want to go with a big party on a BIG ship. If it's just AllieMan and myself, then I think I would stick with nothing larger than M Class.

whats the definition of big ship and small ship?

the radiance class 90,000 ton size is my style. not too big, not too small. but i've been on smaller in the 70,000 ton range and i liked those just fine as well!
