    Best Insurance to Buy??

For some reason, RC will not allow you to purchase insurance when you are part of a group cruise...........so..........I have to buy it independantly.

This isn't intended for the pro's and con's of buying insurance.........WE WILL buy it........

I have used Travel Guard..........but is there something out there that is better? Provides more coverage? Less expensive? (which I realize isn't always better)........

What have you used in the past and have you been happy with the coverage, service etc.

    Thanks

    Jim

    Jim,

We have used TravelGuard exclusively for years. Never a problem and we had to use them.

There is a website that list travel insurance companies and gives side by side listings of benefits and costs. Anybody have that website.

BTW, Jim, I think insuring with the cruiseline itself is a bad idea. One of the things you insure against is the cruiseline going belly up. If a cruiseline goes belly up so does its' insurance.

    Travelguard!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

We would never think ofbuying the cruise line's insurance.

Have used AccessAmerica for years - since we have done any comparison pricing I am not able to tell you if it cheap.

But we were very pleased with the way they handled everything when we had to cancel a cruise within 7 days of leaving for a pre-cruise package.

Also had friends that when they were on a cruise, she came down pneumonia and had to hospitalized in Singapore for 2 weeks. They used the same insurance company and were also pleased with everything.

Sue and Doc I appreciate the info..........

Again this isn't to debate cruise line insurance........it isn't available. I have used Travel Guard in the past and just wondered if there is anything else out there.

If someone can provide the link Doc is talking about I would appreciate it.
