Should I book a cabin with balcony on the left or right side of ship for the best views. Thinking of Radiance of the Sea or Celebrity's Millennium, all opinions will be apppreciated........thx

Hi buynnselln- Welcome to CLF!!
For a Southbound cruise I would book port side, left side, as you will be "facing" the coast line from that location.
I don't know that you would go wrong with either side of the ship. I was just in Alaska and we ran into two ships touring around the Glaciers. They both did them in a counter-clockwise direction, so those on the starboard side got the closest view of the glaciers.
If you look at the itineraries, you will see that the cruise does go in a more northerly direction sometimes, so the starboard also gets the better view.
Remember that there are lots of islands in Alaska and you aren't always cruising in big open waters.
Just another thing to consider.

We have done several southbound cruises -- love the port side.
When the ships start to get near the shoreline -- we love those views.
