HI! Gosh, I'm sorry that no one has chimed in to answer your question...

Welcome to CLF! It's nice to see you here.

As I've not ever done an Alaskan cruise before, and am going on a Princess cruise this September, I can't really answer your question, but I want you to feel welcome.

Hopefully, someone will wander by soon to answer you.

    Hi jbfreedman

When you say small, how many passengers?

Also, do you have certain ports you would like to see?

Best luxury; Silversea. Expensive, but luxury at its best.

Best overall; Cruise West. Some absolutely wonderful and unique itineraries.

Of course, if you don't want to spend alot of money on the small ship cruises we've mentioned, you can always do one of the smaller older ships of the Holland America fleet. They are very nice, intimate, great food, good service, and provide a wonderful experience.
