Princess (7) More subdued. Good cruise line to take multi generations on but still have plenty to do. Love the coffee bar.

NCL (3) Not my favorite for food but does a really good job on nightly shows and entertainment.

Celebrity (1) On a par with Princess but would need to do another to form a better opinion.

Azamara (1) The most upscale. Staff was not as friendly but the surroundings were a joy.

That surprises me. I would have thought that they would have been very friendly. Were they aloof, standoffish, or what? Just curious.

Cunard - It was ok but would not repeat.

Royal Caribbean - Excellent - good food, clean, courteous, would recommend highly. Only problem was the excursion in Georgetown, Cayman Islands.

    Norwegian
Sea~ Our first cruise. We had a great time on the worst ship ever.
    Dawn~
Norwegian seems to always be just ok, as far as food and entertainment.

    Royal Caribbean
    Rhapsody of the Seas
    Freedom of the Seas
Royal Caribbean is ok. They never seem to go out of their way in terms of service. The freedom of the seas was too big of a ship, and the lines were horrendous!

    Holland America
    Oosterdam
Great cruise with excellent food and service. Decor is a little dated. Entertainment is lacking.

    Princess
    Grand Princess
This was a good cruise all around. The entertainment was superb on this ship.

    Celebrity
    Millenium
Great food and service. Entertainment a bit lacking.

    Carnival
    Conquest
The only ship I could not wait to get off of. The food was horrible. Everyone was smashed onto this tiny boat. Not enough chairs. Load noisy drunks all day and night long.

Only on 2 cruises so far:
NCL GEM, comfortable cabin, enjoyed casino, shows and other games. Too many areas allowed smoking.
Carnival TRIUMPH - had aft balcony, nice big cabin, very good food, enjoyed shows and they had loads of things to do(trivia games, scavenger hunts, mini golf tournament etc., always something to do.

Will sail both lines again, I am on NCL Spirit in 3 weeks.
July 22nd NCL Pearl Seattle to Alaska and back

Princess: As vegans, Princess spoiled us by preparing our meals fresh for us, daily. We felt totally pampered by the dining staff.

HAL: the bed was incredibly comfortable.

RaeVynn, I have a vegetarian wife and many, many vegan friends and its nice to know the Princess handled your vegan meal requests so readily. Great post.

    Thanks.

    Thumbs up Great Idea !

RCI-14 cruises, has been my favorite line, enjoyed the mix of pax, lively entertainment, beautiful ships

Carnival-4 times, first timer, all have been very rowdy, full of fun, but too much now

NCL- twice, along time ago, before "Freestyle" nice cruises, just nothing special, reconsidering though...

Celebrity- I leave in 3 weeks, can't wait to find out !

    Windstar-once, ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT !
Not for everyone though, loved the intimacy, didn't mind the lack of nightlife, awesome ports, I will go again !

No such thing as a bad cruise

I was a loyal RCI cruiser for so long, but I am now considering other lines, my tastes have changed, the bigger ships do not appeal to me, my biggest was the Adventure and I found it HUGE ! Just discovered the Radiance class, loved that size, I love shopping for cruises as much as going....the planning is exciting for me.

Ah, a lot of us love the Radiance class ship.
