Thread: Azamara vs Oceania

Hello Everyone!
I am new to this site and I am looking for some information.
I am planning a cruise to Europe on Azamara Journey in August of this year. I am hearing mixed reviews about this cruise line regarding service, transfers, food, etc.
Can anyone put my mind at ease?

I am hoping to hear some reassuring information regarding this cruise line. I am becoming more and more worried that this cruise line will not compare to Oceania.
I sailed with Oceania last September and it was wonderful. This was my first cruise since 1991 and because of the great service, etc I am feeling the desire to cruise again. The small cruise lines are enticing and right up my alley since I do not care for crowds. Open dining, afternoon tea, bingo, etc were things I really liked about the Oceania line. The shore excursions that they offered were also excellent and well planned. Embarkation and debarkation were also very smooth and organized.

Please let me know if Azamara is making an effort to live up to the 5 star rating. I do not want to be disappointed.

Hi Jen, I was on the Azamara Journey last November on an inaugural cruise from Miami, and I'm surprised to learn you are getting mixed reviews about the service, etc on this vessel.
The service, food, entertainment, etc were definitely 5 star. The crew is exceptionally nice & friendly. The Journey is a sister ship to the Oceania ships.
I doubt you'll be disappointed with the Azamara brand.

I cant help you first hand with your question as I havnt been on those ships
BUT there are members on this forum going on the Journey and Quest in near future so the would be able to help you.
I also dont think you will be dissapointed because from what I have heard the ships have gotten great reviews for food and service.
