What is the best cruiseline for the group . The oldest 90+ and the youngest 51.

We all have different schedules and different routines.

    Any suggestions

Have you considered Celebrity? We have cruised to Alaska 3 times on Celebrity and I highly recommend them. We were on Galaxy once and Infinity twice. Of the 2 ships I liked Infinity the best.

We have sailed to Alaska on Princess, HAL and RCL. All of them are very good and so is Celebrity. There are some differences in the itineraries and I think that should be your deciding factor.
The standard ports are Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway. Some stop at Icy Straight Point or Sitka. Some research on what ports you want to see would be good.

    Give Princess a try.

My first cruise to Alaska on Princess was with (at the time ages) an Aunt (59), My Grandparents (both 80) and me (26). The waitstaff treated my Grandparents royaly and when my Granddad didn't come to dinner they asked if he was ok and sent a plate off cookies with us to give to him. With Personal Choice Dining, that gives you flexabliity at dinner time to go to the Dining Room to accomadate "schedules".

For Alaska and a group of older folks like myself, I would recommend Holland America first, then Celebrity, and Princess.

Holland and Princess have the biggest presence in Alaska and are the only ones owning their own hotels in Denali and Fairbanks. But HAL, Princess, Celebrity, and RCCL offer wonderful itineraries and packages. It really depends on where you want to go and what you want to do. If you're wanting to do just a roundtrip cruise from Seattle or Vancouver, that's one thing. If you're wanting to do a one-way southbound or northbound, that's something else. And if you're wanting to do a tour either before or after a one-way cruise, then that's something entirely different.

I always recommend doing at least a one-way and then add on a tour either before or after the cruise and visit at least Anchorage and Denali. You can't go to Alaska and not see some of the interior; you'll be missing a huge part of the adventure!

    I so Agree!

When recommending a one way with Land tour I recommend a South Bound with land first. That way the longest part of the travel is done at the first part of the vaca and not at the last.
