Thread: American ports vs European ports~~~~~Smoking

I have a question~~ Never sailed from any port other than US ports, and the only countries other than the US I have visited, not sailed, is Canada, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland!! Many Europeans have traveled to the US to sail the Caribbean, Mexico, and Alaska. Europeans are renowned smokers!! With so many of our cruiselines going to europe, med, and others, what do you think the result of the new smoking rules of our cruiselines will be in those areas!!

Hmm, good question Sue. And the new nonsmoking laws in England. How does that affect cruise ships?

I guess time will tell! Since the new RCI policy hasn't gone into effect yet, there is no stastical data to determine the impact.

When we sail from a European port, there do seem to be more smokers and they don't always observe the no smoking areas of the ship. I can't tell you how many times I've had a smoker bring an ashtry from the other side of the casino and plop down next to me on the non smoking side!

I would only do that if Your machine was paying,so U would move.


In Barcelona they smoked everywhere,airport
hotel dining room,rest.,bars,markets.
