I've only cruised Carnival, and enjoyed the Vegas-style shows. There are adults only shows in the Destiny lounges late at night which I found very humourous, everyone was laughing.

I agree with Texashorselady about the Children of Raiatea. They were fantastic, and since they performed in the round, as I described, it was even better. It is amazing what those children could do. The little one on the left, was not quite 3 years old![/quote]

Weren't they just the cutest things you ever saw in your life?

Entertainment can vary not only from line to line, and location to location (you won't see Pacific Island dancing on Mediterranean cruises), but it also changes with the average age group and average passenger on the ship.

On a 12-day repositioning cruise (mostly honeymooners and retirees), we saw John Davidson's over 60's act and The Happenings.

On a 7 day cruise out of Galveston, there was a cool vocal group and a two VERY attractive 30-something magicians.

On a 3-day cruise from Florida, we saw a very young juggler (early 20s) and some dueling piano players who had also worked bars in Orlando.

I have to agree with Carol and Texashorselady that the show put on our ship off of Raiatea was fantastic!

Other than that people watching is generally pretty entertaining for some of us!!!

I know this might sound strange, but I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined that I could come back from there and then actually talk to other people that had seen the same show!
