Norman, two posts to Curacao in two days. You are making me miss the place.

A ship I have never heard of M/V Freewinds in Curacao today. The pontoon bridge is not in place.

M/V Freewinds is a cruise ship operated by International Shipping - Miami and owned by San Donato Properties, which is a company connected to the Church of Scientology. She was built in 1968 by Wärtsilä Turku Shipyard in Turku, Finland for Wallenius Lines as MS Bohème for service with Commodore Cruise Line. She was the first cruise ship built in Finland. Her ownership passed to a Church of Scientology-controlled company in 1985 In April 2008, the Freewinds was sealed, and work stopped on refurbishments, due to "extensive contamination" with blue asbestos As of June 2009 its DNV listing states that the ship is "in operation" 19 June 2009 she was in Saint Kitts beginning her 21st year of Caribbean cruising

Norman, the M/V Freewinds is a cruise ship operated by the Church of Scientology. Its home port is Curaçao, and it frequents the Netherlands Antilles and the Caribbean.

What fascinated me was that the pontoon bridge was not in place. Wonder why?
