Thread: Helsinki webcam

When I was in Helsinki ice breakers were prominently berthed. Seeing the two ferries you can see why they are needed.

Princess Maria and Silja Serenade are the two ferries.

In Helsinki is more snow than in tallinn.

I mentioned in a previous thread about ice breakers in Helsinki.

In the pictures today it certainly looks as if they can use them.

That's about the way it looked when we were there years ago! First time I had been on a ship in the snow!

We had taken one of the Silja ferries from Helsinki to Stockholm...

I had been two times in helsinki. At 2006 autumn I wisited Helsinki the first time and in last at 2010 winter.

Silja ships are my favourites The silja europa is pearl on the baltic sea

Hey Anneli!

We were there many years ago, probably 20 or 25 years ago. We liked the ship and it was fun for the overnight to and from Helsinki/Stockholm.

I would go again!

Anneli, some time this week I'll see if I have that information with our old cruise documents. I'll let you know if I find out.

HAL’s Rotterdam in Helsinki today, also in the West Harbour is the Tallink ferry Superstar.

The Superstar is I believe the ferry Anneli is cruising on next month from Tallinn to Helsinki.

The West Harbour is a new cam I have found and the address is posted with the other Helsinki web addresses.
