Voyage of the Seas is being joined by Carnival Conquest in Galveston today.

Mind those oil rigs!

I have seen the Conquest at the docks when she was unloading passengers. They all seemed to have enjoyed themselves which is a good commendation on the cruise. When you get off the ship, you are right net to the shopping area of Old Galveston. A neat place to explore and, of course, spend money. There are some great restaurants down there, too.

As Neal requested I have a new reference for Galveston, in first post, you can now see Galveston.

I think that big red building at the bottom of the picture is a restaurant. Most of the Galveston shoreline near where the ships dock is tourist areas. Some neat stuff housed in turn of the (20th) century buildings. All have had to be repaired following Ike.
