If you happen to cruise around Norway next year, chances are you will visit beautiful Stavanger. This exceptional small harbour can accommodate up to three cruise ships, including Queen Mary 2. All berthed.

Trollfjord a Norwegian Coastal Voyage ship is in beautiful Alesund today at the Hurtigruten Pier.

Alesund is a lovely town, which I have visited on a Hurtigruten ship, and also the home town of Lars.

Most major cruise ships also visit Alesund in the summer months.

At the moment 5 hours - from 10am-3pm. Its not alot but the sunrise is stunning so also the sunset or the blue hour as its called where the sky colours everything a dark shade of blue. Magical really.
But as of december 21 when the sun turned we are now getting 30 minutes more daylight every month

As our white stuff finally disappeared yesterdayI am quite happy seeing it elsewhere, and Norway is pretty with or without snow..
