    Crown Princess Obstructed view E520

What do people think about obstructed view cabins vs. insides?

Has anyone stayed in this cabin? How is the view?

I've seen good posts and pictures for E505, E507, and E509. I can't decide which one.

For our cruise this is same price as inside cabin, so we consider this a very nice upgrade.

    Curious, though...

Looks as if the window for E520 is between two tenders.

    We are very excited!

I would not consider either one. I'd pay the extra for a Balcony or Mini-Suite. Anyhow I can't afford those, I simply don't cruise.
I was on the Dolphin Deck in a Mini-Suite on the Crown last month.

By looking at the deck plan and also by reading your post, since those cabins are the same price as insides I say go for any of the ones you listed! Yes it does look like E520 is inbetween 2 tenders. Go for it! I consider those type of cabins "secret priced cabins". Priced just like the obstructed but a regular outside cabin. Sure you'll have a view of 2 tenders on each side but you'll have a better view than a regular obstructed.

Of cousre you can always sign up for aguaranteed obstructed cabin and hope for a nice upgrade.

    thanks!

thanks all for your advice and your warm welcome.

Cruise Princess, you definitely confirmed our thoughts. We'll stay where we are (unless we are graced by an upgrade of course).

We would have been happy with an inside cabin!

We have decided to sign up for a Grand Mediterranean Cruise on the Emerald Princess... June 22 sailing.

The Emerald is the same deck plan as the Crown, so we have signed up for that cabin.

    Happy New Year

I will agree with Heather...an oceanview of any kind is an upgrade from an inside. I personally need at least a window...I have to have natural light.

Nice cruise you picked out...congrats and let the fun of cruise planning begin...

I was on Sapphire Princess in a inside quad and my TA called and said it would only be $50 more to move to 2 doubles obstructed view. We did and there was a small pole on the balcony. I think it could have been a balcony but the window was locked. A SMALL pole, we loved it. As for not cruising because you can't afford a better cabin, NO WAY, we'd never get to go. We are only in the cabin to crash the action is all over the ship, go live a little.
