    Had a Spectacular Time!

Lulu: it was great meeting you and Roundman. The cruise was excellent in our opinion, and it was certainly enhanced by getting to meet a great couple like you guys. I almost bought a cigar in Aruba just so I could join you in the smoker's lounge!

I hope our paths cross again someday, thanks for the book, and I'll try to keep posting on here (although with no cruises in the near future, who knows?). Barb, who actually reins me back from trying to make every vacation a cruise, actually said, "Hmm wonder what's available for the February break?".

I'm so glad you got meet Lulu. It's on my bucket list. And you know what else? Don't fret about not having a cruise booked in your future and posting with us. It's more than allowed. I do hope you will do a trip report or a review???? Welcome home.

Thanks Hanna & Ken for the Welcome Home! Ken, you'll be leaving soon on yours.

Steve, it was a real pleasure meeting you and Barb! Thanks so much for both of the books ... especially the signed copy of your book. Steve is the author of Ship Happens by M. Joost Kikker (his screen name). Every cruiser would enjoy reading it -- very funny!

Please keep in touch and continue posting on CLF!

I love that you got to meet Lulu and I am quite jealous. I'm so pleased the site/community got to play a small part in the meeting.

We'd love to hear more via a cruise review when you have the time.

PS: What's this talk about "Ship Happens"? - Do tell us some more - I'm sure there are tons of member who'd love to give it a read - and I"ll we have a spot where you can introduce it and shill away without fear - the Member Showcase.

Cheers and thanks again for all your great contributions!

Absolutely I'll post a review shortly. Lula AND Roundman were both very nice. I was talking to Lulu one time and Roundman said, "She just told me to stop talking because we're late for dinner, but she can talk to you!" - Reminded me of DW & I.

My book, yes I'm an accomplished author. Wait, scratch that. I'm an author, def not accomplished! I don't know if I mentioned my profession to Lulu (it tends to surprise people), but what happened is I was recommended to this Publishing Company for a work-related book, and I figured out they'll print just about anything. Only problem is they control the pricing. There was no financial obligation on my part. They priced the book at $19.95. Its 130 pages of limericks and jokes, and, in all honesty, its not worth $19.95. $12.95 - maybe. $9.95 - sure. With my work-related book they dropped the price (original price $24.95, dropped to $9.95) after a year or so, so that'll prob happen with SHIP HAPPENS.

Official Title: SHIP HAPPENS: Limericks and Jokes About Cruising, by M Joost Kikker ( a pen name). Its available through Barnes & Noble, Amazon, etc.., but unless you have $20 to throw away...

The idea for the book came from another Cruise Info site. If you were to ask me if I post on another site I would answer, "Si Si!". I did surreptitiously push my book a bit here, but didn't want to come right out and say, "Hey! I wrote this! Buy it!".

Oh, should mention: I do get royalties, something like 8% on copies sold at retail price. You have to reach a certain level of sales to receive royalties; my work related book never made enough sales. this one might have a chance thanks to some cruising friends who have bought it.

Enough rambling, but if you think I should post info on it somewhere, let me know, and I'll be very happy to self-promote myself!

A lovely response. Thanks so much.

Feel free to self promote as much as you wish here: Member Showcase - Cruise Line Fans

I'd love to learn more about both project. Don't be bashful about posting links, etc - as long as they're relevant to the post.

    Cheers!
