I finally found the laundry service price list. It took about 2 hours of searching.

    Laundry prices for Princess?

    Hahaha got another page turn!

Umm, as for the trolley tour, I could have read that on the CC boards, or maybe it was another island.

Princess' website has the excursions listed for when we'll be cruising, just can't book them yet, but I haven't really looked at them yet.

Do I get the assist for that page turn????

They have a laundry service for either pressing or for cleaning. I guess 1 or 2 times during the cruise they have a deal for $15 for whatever you can fit in the laundry bag. The bag is small, but I'm thinking less laundry!!!

I really wanted to know about the pressing. That way I wouldn't have to be so careful with the suits for the guys. We bring a garment bag, but it's kind of a pain in the neck to lug around.

Ok, I'll give you the assist on this one!

Where did you find the info on the laundry? I'm glad to hear it . . . I can't remember if it was Carnival or RCI, but they offered it once mid-cruise (7-day) and let me tell you, we were 4 people and we shoved a TON of stuff into the bag. For a 9-day cruise, I'd like to think that it would be well worth our while to do it both times it's offered.

If you want to "chat" I'll be on AOL.

I've been looking into getting a taxi for a private tour. They'll go where ever you want. It is $45 per hour for up to 4 people. While the bus pass is unlimited and $12 pp, I don't like the idea of constantly starting and stopping to pick up passengers. Plus it sounds like it takes 3 times longer than just driving straight there.

Possible plan, get a taxi for 2 hours (evidently the taxi are marked for those qualified to give the tours). We would hit Elbow Bay, Horseshoe Bay, Gibbs Lighthouse, Church Bay for some snorkeling and then head back to the ship.

I even have the name and e-mail of a highly recommended driver (an elderly gentleman) that you can get ahead of time.

It may be a bit pricey, but I wouldn't have to worry where I was, when the bus would be coming and I would get to go exactly where I want to go and not have to walk to places.

It's still in the planning stages.

that doesn't sound too terrible. I so don't want to be on a timeframe for anything - so I don't know what we're doing yet.

Eric and I really enjoy just sitting on the beach so we may just find the best beaches and taxi over to them. We don't snorkle or anything, so we're basically low maintenance.

Sonia, I think the FREE hop on & off trolleys are in San Juan. In fact after reading reviews about travel times on buses for excursions sometimes doubling (and I'm a motion sickness person, especially on buses!), I think we may change our minds. Plus the new plan is alot cheaper!!!

I think we are going to use the trolleys to sight see and shop. I understand the best shopping is on the Cristo St. trolley route. There are 2 routes from what I understand. There is the origination stop near the pier. Once you are off the trolley and wish to get back on, you can either wait at a designated stop or simply wave the trolley down.

Then I think we are going to head to Condado Beach/Ocean Park. They say the waves are pretty good here. It is around 3 miles (best guestimate), by taxi it is around $12. I'm guessing that is one way. But is that per person or per taxi????

Either way, it is wayyyyy cheaper doing an excursion for at the least, $150 for all 3.

I don't think I'll change on my San Juan day. Well, you never know!

Thanks for the laundry list....we usually send the good stuff out to be pressed when we arrive (better than me ironing it..and don't have to worry about getting wrinkled in the suitcases. We also take advantage of the 'everything in a bag for one price' special--you'd be amazed at all we fit into the bag; glad to hear Princess runs the special.
Re San Juan trollys---my former neighbor is from Purto Rico & she said the trolleys are a great way to go. We were going to sail out of San Juan last year, but had to change to a different cruise....I'm starting to look for my research on those posrt; but we've moved in the interim...guess it's time to start looking into stuff again
