Korcula was originally known as Black Corfu when it was first inhabited by its Greek residents is located along the Dalmation coast within the Adriatic Sea. Korcula is closely neighboured by the islands of Hvar and Lastovo with a population of over 16,000 residents.

During the summer months Korcula is bursting with life and activities with many tourists arriving to take advantage of the relaxing beaches in the area. Boasting Mediterranean like surroundings, Korcula is one of the most populated islands within the Adriatic Sea. One of the islands most important connections with history is being the supposed birthplace of famous explorer Marco Polo.
