We used this company http://www.cozumelcruiseexcursions.c...gExcursion.htm for their SNUBA/snorkeling excursion and had a wonderful time. They have lots of other excursions, too. Maybe something there will catch your eye!

I've heard Paradise Beach is ok now. It's only a short taxi ride from the pier & a lot of fun. You can get a massage on the beach, there's a bar/restaurant there, chairs & umbrellas - free if you order a couple of drinks or something to eat. We went there the last time I was in Cozumel and had a great day.

Lucaslaw, looks like you made the right decision to skip the two-wheelers - our friends tell us they are death-traps for tourists... The VW rental sounds like fun.
I didn't really like Cozumel until our trip in January 2006- now we are looking forward to going again...this year!! We liked our personal guided tour - air-conditioned SUV, went to the same places...Cozumel is still beautiful!

The car rental sounds like a perfect idea...we are in Cozumel in early April and I have been stumped on what to do...I want to go to a beach but I don't want to spend half of the day on an air conditioned bus...a convertible would be excellent. So are the roads dangerous, is there anything I should be aware of before renting?
I, like ladybugz would like to know if anyone has done the caves, excursion?
I spoke to someone at a cozumeltours and they said they weren't offering anything to the mainland because of the travel time
I am pullingthis forward and hoping for new ideas. I am going in January. I hit Chaunkannab (sp?) park last time. Love the snorkeling and hope it is in improved shape...Hey, has anyone doen theDolphin/ Sea Lion swim?
Other ideas?
As far as beaches...I just need a decent snorkel beach...ohh, and available booze while I am in my beach chair...LOL.

Here's a website with lots of great private excursions. I don't necessarily book from these sites, but I find ideas, and beaches, places I can do on my own. The prices here are pretty reasonable though. For example, the Cozumel Beach Break is only $69 and includes open bar, pool, jacuzzi, beach front, chairs, a 3 course lunch, and only allows 100 persons a day...sounds pretty great to me!
