We loved the Passion Island excursion so much that we are doing it again in a few weeks! The island is absolutely beautiful and excluded. You take a twister boat over to the island that does 360 degree turns- lots of fun! Once on the island, they provide you with a yummy buffet and all of the drinks you want (rum punch and those types of drinks). If you want a nice "beach day", this is a great excursion :-)

Thanks!
Anyone else?!?!?![]()
We are considering CZ68 Playa Mia Deluxe Beach Break or CZG1 Chankanaab Marine Park & Mexico's Magic.
Has anyone done either?![]()
I went to Cozumel several years ago. You are going in December so it may be a bit cooler then when we went, but we did the snorkeling which was great. One of the places I would have loved to visit was they Mayan cities. That could be fun!

Jumping into this thread as we will be visiting Cozumel on the Allure of the Seas in early December. We are a family of 4 (kids 11 and 13) and would like reco's on the following:
For the adventurous, what are some good reco's for excursions?
It is better to book excursions through cruise line or wait and book something at port?
What are the pros and cons?
Also looking for a combo scuba/snuba option. Anyone heard of one there?
We went on the Tulum Mayan Ruins excursion when we were in Cozumel. We were greatly dissappointed because it seemed as though there were at least 30 other tourbuses there that day and thousands of people. We difficulty getting any good photos of the ruins because of all the people around and it just seemed crowded. However, we did get a few good photos of the water from the bluffs, which were breathtaking. I will see if I can dig some up for you and post them.
When we returned to Cozumel, we walked in a few shops and bought some string puppet or something. The shops were the typical touristy type stuff, but we did get a nice mexican blanket that I liked.
We also stopped in a Mexican restaurant there for a bite, and I think that was my favorite part of the day. If we were to do it all over again, I think we'd just laze on the beach and take in the scenery.![]()
When we visited Cozumel back in December 2010, we did the Sea Trek helmet dive. We thoroughly enjoyed it although the cost vs. enjoyment factor is easily debatable. The excursion was listed as 2 1/2 hours, but we were only in the water for about 30 min. The food at the restaurant there was really good and they gave us some free drink tickets (good drinks) and a discount on food as part of the excursion price. They will take many pictures of you underwater, but I thought the price of the video they put together was too high. I brought my own underwater camera and took video and pictures that were just fine. The guy taking pictures took pictures of us with my camera which I thought was nice.
