Anyone out there done this tour with Island Marketing???
they advertise a 2 1/2 hour tour with stops at two reef areas for snorkeling to Cozumel National Marine Park...35$ pp/plus 2$ entrance fee for the park...AND drinks!! [not just beer and soft drinks like another tour I've seen on these boards...?] and pick up at the pier... was hoping someone had done this and had some input...
a friend of mine did a glass bottom boat once and said they could hardly see because of algae on the glass??? surely they'd keep it cleaned off if their livelihood depended on the tours???
I was hoping that if we went early enough we could be back in time to lunch in town and still have time to see a bit of the area...like Senor Frogs and Carlos and Charlies, Poncho's Backyard etc? boat docks from 7am til 6pm...tour from 1030 am til 1230 or so lunch at Poncho's? then shop etc...bars then back to boat... that's the 'plan' anyway...
will also be stopping in CostaMaya and want to do a beach break there as I didn't see any glass bottom boats offered there? please help!!! Can't decide what to do??? I hear the snorkeling is better at Costa Maya? is this true? should I swap the tours? [if I can find a glass bottom boat there?] [have to admit the booze portion of the excursion was a draw to lure the DH to snorkel with me haha...
then there's the idea of purchasing our own snorkel gear...if I thought I'd really use it again??? Don't know since I've never tried it...
