Talking Fury Catamarans, Cozumel, Book in Advance?

We are going on the Carnival Imagination over Easter and want to book the Beach Party/Snorkeling Adventure in Cozumel. Should we do this online?? What do we do when we get off the ship? Do they have a shuttle? (Can you tell this is our first cruise?!?!). Also, my friend said that snorkeling is scary in Cozumel because of the currents and it is deep water. None of us have been snorkeling. My husband and I are in our 40's and our girls are 16 and 20. Should we do it?!?!? (We also love the beach and the party sounds fun!!!).

Yes, you SHOULD book your excursion in advance. Sometimes the more popular excursions sell out, so booking in advance - either through the cruise line, or with an independent tour company - avoids possible disappoiontment.

IF you book through the cruiseline, your excursion tickets, along with instructions as to where to meet up with your tour guide will be delivered to your stateroom.

I've snorkeled and snubaed in Cozumel, and don't remember there being anything scary, and I'm an old lady. (I am a better than average swimmer, though)

Snorkeling is an unbeliveagle activity! It will show you a whole new world that is utterly amazing! Dont miss it!

The Fury Catamaran Catamaran Sail, Snorkel & Beach Party Excursion in Cozumel has been around for a VERY long time so it is quite popular. It you want this one you probably should book it on line with Carnival ASAP ... especially since you'll be going over Easter Break!

Per you question on what to do or where to go when you get off the ship to take the excursion:

You don't have to worry about a thing on this excursion or any other you book through Carnival.
Carnival takes care of everything for you. They will tell you what time to meet and where (normally, on the cruise pier where you exit the ship). You will see someone holding up a sign "Catamaran Sail, Snorkel & Beach Party". They will take you on the excursion and return you to the ship. If your excursion is late returning, the ship always waits of its excursions so don't worry!

It's been ages since we have been on this excursion but did it a couple of times when our girls were high school/college age. ( Told you it had been around for a long time!) The children always like to look at our old cruise pictures when they visit so I do sort of know what we did.

From what I remember .... They took us on a sailing catamaran and there was one snorkel stop. Some snorkeled while others just played in the water. You don't have to snorkel unless you wish. Then, they began serving drinks and took us to a pretty beach for more fun things ... and then more partying sailing back!

Just make sure that you think you would enjoy a party boat or a party catamaran!
We very much enjoy this sort of thing ... but not everyone does.

Hope this helps a bit! Maybe someone who has taken this excursion recently will also reply!

Not sure where it was moved from but occasionally a thread is moved to an area it would best be answered and also to help others looking for the same information. If it had been for any other reason, they would have posted the reason on the thread

We have snorkeled in Cozumel and didn't have strong currents either, guess it depends on when and where you snorkel. It is an amazing sight to see though.

I moved this thread and if I remember correctly, it was in an area that wouldn't have been associated with Cozumel. Anyway, it's in the correct one now!

Hi Hanna! Why didn't you move it to Cruise Places -- COZUMEL? It's an excursion ONLY offered in Cozumel.

You could always move it again!
