Please, help me out on this! We have NOT been to Cozumel since "The Hurricane". We'll be with very long time dear friends on this port stop. They're now in their 80's (where does the time go? ....) and what we once would have done, is not so good now. They STILL totally love to Bar Hop (no major health issues) ... so please help!

Well, if you're 'bar hoping', then any bar is a good bar!! At least that's our opinion, but then again, we love to bar hop.

Carlos 'n Charlies is always a hoot, but loud and food is not good. But you don't go for the food! Never know what's going to happen in there.

I agree that Coconuts is a great place to go.

I wish I could remember the name of this little hole in the wall we found, but it's a small place just north of the international pier (south about a mile from downtown). Nothing special, but the 2-4-1 happy hour is great! They definitely don't skimp on the tequila!! Good food and there's never hardly anyone in there. We found this place many years ago when we stayed in Cozumel for a week and we have always enjoyed it. Guess I'll have to remember to get the name next time we're there. We also found some wonderful restaurants, most of the best are off the beaten path.

But the bottom line is there are many great places to drink in Cozumel - walk around and enjoy them all - you'll find something you like.

Coconuts Bar & Grill - Cozumel, Mexico

There aren't many restaurants along the Eastern Highway—the only paved road that skirts along the island. Coconuts is located right off this road on Cozumel's only hill next to Playa del San Martin . They serve traditional American favorites like burgers and fries as well as some Mexican entrees. It offers patrons breathtaking views of the ocean. Coconuts is also famous for its 'full moon parties' with great live music and dancing. Other than full moon parties, Coconuts closes at dusk.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

BUT, the shrimp fajitas were really awesome as well, as well as the shrimp cocktail....Very friendly service, beautiful view, and excellent cheap food...We're hoping to go back in April but just torn between cruising there and staying the day or going for 4-5 days alone...We'll see......
