Thread: Stingray Snorkelling?

Hi there, has anybody heard of any good stingray snorkelling excursions here or in Roatan or Belize? Thanks!!!

There are shark/ray alley excursions in Belize available through the ship and also private vendors.

Actually I found out there is some stingray snorkeling in Cozumel, or at least was.

They had some stingrays enclosed by nets, but a storm tore holes in the nets and the rays escaped. I imagine they will fix the nets and round up more rays.

Could be a possible future photo op.

Hi all, we just returned from the Norw. Sun in the west. caribbean and we did an excursion thru ncl called Shark Ray Alley in Belize, simply amazing. We saw the big eagle rays and many of the smaller ones that skim around your legs, very cool, no sharks that day though. I would highly recommend this excursion!!!!!

Here's a pic I took of one while snorkeling... it wasn't in Coz, but ANYTIME you get to see an Eagle Ray is a real treat!

Cozumel's Stingrays are back, we found info on Cozumel Stingray Encounter and Snorkel Cruise Excursion, hope it helps! Good luck, we will certainly try this one

We also did it with Cozumel-Watersports and it was just a too great of an experience. I was afraid of these animals before the tour but now I would like to have one in my aquarium haha

That would have to be one heck of a big aquarium!
