    Costa Romantica become Costa neoRomantica

Some videos about build for Costa neoRomantica:

    Costa neoRomantica 11/03/2011 - YouTube
    Costa neoRomantica 12/12/2011 - YouTube

Interesting is to see, how older ship is becoming new.

I agree with you Anneli! It is very interesting to see.

Unlike some people, I think Costa NeoRomantica looks better with her new, extra balconies added. I think it makes her look more like a cruise ship!

I found out earlier this week that Costa NeoRomantica is due to call at Harwich International Port in 2012, so I hope to draw the ship and maybe visit it if I'm lucky enough!

I found this photo on Costa's Facebook earlier...

It interesting to see that only a few of the cabins are having balconies added. When Celebrity did a "refresh" on the Century lots of balcony cabins were added. Is it a cost measure or is the ship structurally not able to handle a full row of balconies?

If you look carefully Neal, you will be able to see the balconies on the hull have only been added where there are not lifeboats above. (otherwise they would be be able to lower) This is why the new hull balconies have been added in midships only.

There has been extra balconies added above the bridge too. I believe it's something like 230 cabins!

Duh, I should have looked up. Of course, the lifeboats could have been extended out to pass over the balconies......
    Thank you Harry.

The ship is becoming better. Old didn't look well. She looked as box with holes lol.
New design look as a good cruise ship.

The Costa Romantica rebuilt show that how is possible make old as new.

Ah, Anneli, a different generation. I have always liked the clean lines of a ship without all the balconies sticking out on the side. It makes a ship look more like a building than a ship to me.

Looks like the Carnival Fantasy Class ships that they installed balconies on.
