Wow...Really interesting points of view! AllieMan and I adored Costa Rica. So much so that we told my Brother and SIL about it and they spent their entire honeymoon there. We did come in on the Pacific side, maybe that had something to do with it.

We did a volcano excursion and coffee fields...Sarchi was great with a lot of good souvenir shopping. I thought the people in Sarchi and San Jose were the nicest! The cloud forest was incredible...the butterflies were amazing! It was very wet and a litte cool (it was above 7000 feet) but I don't mind the nature hikes and getting a little dirty. I had a ball.

Can't wait to see it again in March 07.

    Costa Rica - Private Tour

I'm really surprised I haven't seen a plug for my favorite private tour operator in Costa Rica, Oscar Brown. Here's a synopsis of some of the possible tours that his sister Carol sent me this year by email. Everyone I've ever heard that has booked with him has really enjoyed his tours. We've done 3 with him now. On the most recent, he's changed restaurants, and it's one I'd go out of my way to visit just for the food, but it's also got an amazing view.

Note: the email to/from CR can be a bit flaky a times. If you don't get a reply, please resend. Carol is very good about returning mail.

Well- AllieMan and I are going to be taking a ship tour to the Sloth Sanctuary next month. Hopefully it will be fun. I'm not one for the zip-line thing, but since we did the cool weather tour last time, this time I wanted to see the warm-weather stuff! I'll report when I get back!
