Isn't this the one that you have to know where you are going to find the access to the beach? What is it...hole in the wall or fence or something? Or am I not remembering the correct place?
Yes. The hole in the fence - which often moves to a new location whenever whoever mends it. But all the locals can point out the new location to you.
Was always rustic, some might say a dump, but cheap and right next to the port. It is where a lot of the crew would go.
The port built a wall between the two to make it harder for them to attract business. Neither that, nor the fence, nor Hurricane Dean could win, however.
While the government helped rebuild Mahahual, they did nothing for Chac-Chi. In fact, I think the government stole their sand and many even dump some of the cleanup rubble on the property!
Welcome back, Chac-Chi!
{I bet you still have to go through a hole in the fence}

We were there some years ago and simply remember the best sea food we ever had. Although the beach was not that nice and facilities a kind of run down, the food and drinks definitely made up!!
