Thread: 2010 reports on Costa Maya

Could someone who has recently been to Costa Maya (2010), leave a review of their experience taking a taxi out of port to go snorkeling from shore please? My husband has had knee surgery and cannot do tours in a boat because it is too difficult and painful for him.

My husband is having knee surgery next week and we are sailing to Cosa Maya in May! We are currently booked to do the same all inclusive Maya Chan that Pat mentioned. I'll report back when we return. We will be taking a taxi by ourselves even though they offer transportation since their transport assumes you will disembark as soon as you can and we like to sleep in later!

we were there 10 days ago. taxi to village $6 plus tip. you can basically snorkel off the beach if you wish, we had jet-ski $35 for half-hour 2 people.
good cheap massages on the beach $10 for half-hour.
coconuts is a good bar with decent food and beer 6 for $10.
