4x4 Jeep Safari, Costa Maya

Has anyone done the 4x4 Jeep Safari in Costa Maya?
Is it Grandma and Teen kid friendly?

I did the 4x4 Jeep Safari in Cozumel. I am a grandma and I loved it. There were teens there as well. I think they give a warning for anyone that has back problems or that is pregnant because the roads were very bumpy. It really depends how adventurous everyone is. I would do it again. Have fun.

Did the 4x4 Jeep excursion on our June Cruise. The Jeeps are stick shift, and in good repair. Being from Michigan and doing some off roading in the past, I would have to say that the Off Road part was relatively tame, some of the roads went through some pretty poor areas of Costa Maya. The beach part of the tour was good. The bar-b-que was simple and delicious. The swimming area was small with weedy areas keeping you from going out further, The beach itself was spotless with chairs and hammocks available with plenty of shade. All in all, it was a relaxing day at the beach.

That does sound like fun!

When you did your beach stop... you mentioned 'weeds' ... you mean sea grass of some sort? Was anyone in your group able to do any snorkeling there?

Am considering RCI Grandeur of the Seas, one stop is Costa Maya. There doesn't seem to be a lot to do there, considering the beach tour, is it worth it or would you have chosen another tour if you co do it over? I snorkel, is it possible there? If so is it worth it...meaning good viewing of fish?

I didn't try snorkling (Blind without glasses), there appeared to be a coral or rock barrier between beach and deep water, we stayed in the shallows, so I don't know about the viewing beyond the barrier. Water was clear, and knowing how it was, I'm glad I did it. Next time will try something different, but I'm I went the first time.
