Anyone do this? We are going to book it for Sept. I'm mainly interested in the open bar (as I imagine everyone else going is). Looking for feedback prior to booking it.

Just posted 2 pictures we made when we were there in March. No swimming because of rough surf. Captain said that morning, "Welcome to always windy Costa Maya." You could feel the waves slam the stern on our ship. Ran across gangway to keep from getting soaked. Timed the waves. Lovely port. Cool Pool with swim up bar.Enjoy your visit.

Come to think of it, there was not much of a beach at Costa Maya. A lot of heavy coral, small beach, unless you count the pool area.

If you taxi over to Mahahual the beach there is WONDERFUL! I have some pictures of it in my album. This is one of our favorite ports!

There were no taxis with 7 ft seas the day we were there. Sounds like fun on a calm day.

Been To Costa Maya twice & have never made it past the huge pool in the center of town. We have so much fun there, no need to go any further. Love that port. Can't wait to go there again.
