    Ken,
My mother-in-law is from Genoa, Italy and has always talked about the Costa line. Thanks so much for describing it so perfectly and I love the pics. The ship decor looks so Italian!!

You're welcomed Janice. Costa is based in Genoa, Italy, so your mother-in-law would know the cruise line as it is well known there. Remember Perillo Tours? I bet your mother-in-law know them too. They used to advertise Italian vacations and cruises heavily here in S. Fla. The Italian decor is absolutely beautiful.

Thanks so much for the pictures, Ken!!

A bit of trivia for you: My mother-in-law's father started the the business to repair cruise ships in Genoa. A lot of the family in Genoa still work for a shipping business there.

    You're welcomed Janice.

So your mother-in-laws family repair Costa ships?

Not anymore Ken. Back when there was no place to repair them, her dad started the business in Genoa. They not only did Costa but any other ships that were on that side of the water. He made a lot of money and sold the business years ago. But one of his son's is still involved with commercial shipping.

I've never asked but maybe I should see if the family gets a discount on Costa.

I really enjoyed reading your review.
I somehow had pictured Costa cruises differently and now realize that unless I knew I was on a Costa ship, I'd probably not notice much difference.

The pics are great! Thanks for the detail.

Since you live so close, if you can manage to get away, we're sailing the Liberty out of Ft. Lauderdale over labor day. It should be a great time!
