COSTA CRUISES TO REQUIRE ELECTRONIC FORM COMPLETION PRIOR TO ISSUING TICKETS EFFECTIVE MARCH 15, 2011

HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (Nov. 22, 2010) — To ensure the proper personal data is collected prior to boarding, Costa Cruises is implementing a new ticketing policy that requires guests to complete the “Web Check-In” form online prior to issuing electronic tickets.

The new policy is effective on sailings departing March 15, 2011, and after. Costa typically issues e-tickets six weeks before the departure date, so guests departing March 15 will need to submit the completed on-line form by Jan. 29, 2011.

Information required in the form is standard data collected prior to traveling, including full name, passport details, emergency contact information and date and place of birth. Similar information is now routinely required by airlines, as well.
