Actually, Bombero, I did two cruises on CostaVictoria (back to back). Nothing bad to say about it at all. Just wasn't my cuppa coffee. A bit too Italian for my taste. We did thoroughly enjoy the Toga night though.

Bombero, my husband and I did the Costa Classica last winter. There were a lot of Italians on board. It was very noisey, as they seem to feel the need to yell at each other all the time. However the crew does their best to seat you with fellow Americans or Canadians for dinner. The food was good, although surprising there was not a whole lot of Italian choices. The cabins were spacious and comfortable. We would do it again.

We did the Costa Romantica years ago, but it was very nice. The food was a disappointment and the dining room was very loud.:thumbsdow It was very European, but interesting at the same time.

We have only been on two Costa Cruises! Enjoyed both!

The main reason we seldom sail on Costa is because the "timing/itinerary" hasn't worked for us.

Does Costa still have TOGA NIGHT?

That's what I enjoyed about the Costa Magica, the strong Italian flavor, and all of it too. I loved the paintings of the Italian buildings on the walls of the Atrium, the various pieces of framed paintings in the elevators, the Grand Bar and dining rooms.
The Italian theme to me was something refreshing and very different. It just gives some insight to a different culture.

I agree, Toga(Roman Night) was a lot of fun, dressing up like Caeser in the long white sheet and head piece. The show in the Theater was very lively, especially with a Cruise Director like Max, he was something else.

Lorrie, there were very many Italians on our sailing on the Magica too, but thank God those did not have the need to yell. There was just the usual noise of people talking in the dining room and other public areas on the ship.

I agree with you about the food and the cabin, and would also cruise Costa again.
