Very nice, clean and spacious. A bit bigger bathroom than we have had in the past. We also had a queen bed instead of two twins on opposite sides of the room.

Over all we enjoyed our cruise with Costa. The price was right, the ship was clean, the food was good, as we never went hungry. We try to over-look any problems we encounter and make the best of things. We met lots of great people, and had a good itineray. What more could you ask for.

Snowbaby -
I see you'll be back on Costa in just a few days.
I am halfway considering a cruise on the Magica - what else can you tell us about Costa?
Do you think their oceanview cabins would feel cramped to someone accustomed to a balcony cabin on RCL?
Well, I'm back. This is the first balcony cabin we have had, and I don't want to go back to oceanview. We chose Costa again for the itinerary and because of where it was going out of. That meant we could have a second week at a resort. The package price was great. The Atlantica, and Classica (last year's choice) are both beautiful and clean. They are however an Italian line, and I'm not saying that in a negative way, but do your research before booking. There were no Americans on board either ship, and of 2100 passengers this year there were 50 of us that spoke English. The staff for the most part speak English, and Paul and I had no problem, but, we are not big "group" people to start with. We were at a dinner table for 6 and we were all English Canadian. Food was good but I can't say great, and our cabin steward was just o-kay. We were wondering was this because tips were included? So, we have done Costa twice now, but not sure whether we will be eager to do it again in the near future. There are lots of ships out there, and lots of islands to visit too!

JV The 4 stages of cruising: planning, anticipation, experience and reflection.
Coming up: Celebrity Millennium Wine Cruise(9/17/10), Celebrity Century(1/15/11) and Celebrity Eclipse Italian Mediterranean(7/2/11)
I loved the veranda. Would never book an inside. Our room was spotless, as was the rest of the ship. In addition, or steward, Jimmie, made sure we had whatever it was we needed, including additional mattresses for our beds.
If you've ever sailed on Carnival's Destiny and Conquest Class ships, the balcony cabins are the same on the Costa Fortuna and Magica, Concordia and Serena respectively. They are very nice. Lots of space fo storing your things.
